Yeah, so... that lasted longer than I thought...
Last May, I posted that I was going to ease off for a month to try and de-stress and hopefully come back refreshed in June. Ha. Sweet summer child.
In any case, I'm trying had to get back into it now - setting SMART goals and everything. I actually do have a "real" blog post - a book review - that I wrote a few weeks ago and I need to post. But it's not 100% publishing-ready, so, rather than push posting back AGAIN, you just get this quick update. (But, hey, half-ass is better than no-ass, right? ; D
Anyway, picking up where I left off last year, my social media followings were as listed below:
Facebook: 101 followers
LinkedIn: 80 followers
Twitter: 58 followers
I've actually done decently at keeping up regular social media updates the last few months, so lets see how the Facebook and Twitter numbers have grown since I last counted a year ago:
Facebook: 104 followers (gain of 3%)
LinkedIn: still 80, but that's not surprising, since I post on there least often
Twitter: 121! That's pretty spectacular, especially considering the Twitterpocalypse... That's a gain of 108%
For now I will set small goals for this month, though I don't know yet if I want to/will focus on creating or on growing my platform.
Facebook - gain 1 follower
LinkedIn - gain 1 follower
Twitter - gain 12 followers (10%)
Want to help increase these followings, or see more updates when I start posting actual material? Follow me on Facebook and Twitter for several small snippets each week.
Or, if you're looking for more professional content (less frequent, but more closely related to writing, publishing, or libraries), connect with me on LinkedIn. (I do ask that if you request a connection on LinkedIn that you mention this blog so that I know how you heard of me.)
